ABOUT
My name is Beth Newby
I believe in capturing moments as they happen.
Since I was a child i have taken photographs of everyday moments of my family and me.
From family events, to holidays, I always had a camera in my hand, capturing everything.
I studied photography at Bishop Auckland College for two year, where I went to pursue a degree at The Northern School of Art, studying Photographic Practice with Moving Images, from 2018 until 2021.
My style of photography is mostly nature and landscapes. I love going out on adventures around the world, photographing everything I see, it creates memories for me.
Although nature and landscapes are my favourite style of photography, I never back down from a challenge.
I have photographed things that are out of my comfort zone, as well as things that I have really enjoyed doing.
Videography is also a very fun part of my life, starting university and discovering this, has really impacted my work as now I can create short moving image pieces of my adventures, my experiences and things I am passionate about.
I describe my photography as sincere, honest, and natural. During my five years of learning i have matured my aesthetic sensibilities and technical skills.
I approach each event and each session with attention, honesty, and compassion. I put my heart and soul into my work and believe that it shows in my photographs.
